Manhattan Ave Townhouse
CO-Office is in construction for a 2,800 SF townhouse in Harlem, New York for a family of four. Originally a 4-family building, CO-Office converted this 1900's townhouse into a legal single-family residence, connecting all 4 levels of the building. Using a palette of natural materials including white oak, Gioia Venatino marble, stone, and brass, accented with playful colors and Moroccan patterns, CO-Office crafted a contemporary home with a distinct character.
An open living room and kitchen is brought together using wide-plank white oak flooring which wraps the treads of the stairway and creates a slatted screen along the outer railing. Custom casework with brass accents compliment marble counters and a counter to ceiling marble backsplash. The second floor kids rooms share a closet and bathroom with playful tile patterns, while the master suite on the third floor combines the bedroom and the master bath together with an integrated open closet. Black powder-coated hardware and Scandinavian fixtures provide flourishes and accents, and lends an added sophistication to the space.
