CO-Office is in construction for a 3,000 SF multi-family townhouse in Harlem, New York for 2 young families. Split as a legal 3-family building, the townhouse is structured as a duplex, a garden apartment with a shared exterior deck, and a separate investment unit with profit-sharing between the 2 owners. CO-Office designed a contemporary home with transitional details and accents using a contrasting palette of darks and lights. An alternating stepped stair with powder-coated black metal rods connect the two levels of the duplex, and the more transitional living and dining space to the contemporary custom kitchen, and master bath upstairs. An overall natural palette of oak flooring, concrete tiles, and statuary marble contrast playful patterned cement tile accents while other transitional spaces are demarcated using contrasting black and white. CO-Office offered a unified design experience for the two clients while maintaining a unique character for each of the family's homes.
